Everything we know about “La Joia”

The album by Bad Gyal which will be (hopefully) released in 2023 must be near.


What do we know about it?… First of all it is Alba’s debut album, as her other projects are mixtapes or singles. 


The Catalan artist teased the project’s name during an interview in the Camp Nou and confirmed it in her first Palau Sant Jordi, where she sold out all tickets. 


   


Since then, all of her shows have started with her name and the album’s title in the screen as you can see in the following videos I had the pleasure to take. 



Many fans are desperate to listen to the studio version of the songs after enjoying snippets in her various concerts in Spain and internationally. The artist sings releases from past years like “Fiebre”, “Blin Blin” or “Santa Maria”, she also sings her latest tracks from 2023 such as “Chulo” (parts 1 and 2), “Karmika” from Karol G’s album and “El sol me da”.

The interesting part comes with the new melodies which are not out yet, and she has already realesed “Mi Lova” after 6 months since the first time fans heard it in Barcelona. The name of the songs that may or may not get published at the end of the year are:

Each song has a link to highest quality version available on YouTube, from Bad Gyal Base which is a great channel that cleans up live audio laballed in videos as: (Audio) (Audio + ) and experiments with AI to create new bars, disclaimed as: (Audio AI)


These titles are extracted from leaked set lists but fans may give them other names based on the lyrics they hear, for example, “Bota Niña” is also known as “Maluca” and “La que no se mueva" as “Movimientos”.

There is uncertainty as to where these tracks will see the light as Bad Gyal stoped singing some songs to fit new releases as the year advanced.

Even if the songs get released the sound may change as live harmonies are unique and can be transformed last minute, or we can even get new verses.

But, most importantly: When is the album going to be available in platforms? Many are sick and tired of waiting (me inclouded), Bad Gyal promised in various interviews and on Instagram live that this current year is going to be the year… but, we are in November. People are loosing hope and making memes about it, but maybe it is a strategy from the catalan artist, as end of the year is summer in Latin America, a market where she is taking off. I hope La Joia is just around the corner and ends up being a huge success that skyrockets her career as fans request the drop non-stop, flooding the artist's pages with comments,
